Motivation is the pain of not doing your goal becomes harder than the goal itself. For instance, you have a week to study and you don't study until the last day. You will get more motivated because it is more painful to not do the work than to actually do it. The one thing people are wrong about motivation they think it is the result of a cause, motivation is the result of an action, not a cause. A problem people face is staying motivated. A solution to this is to be challenged, but not be overwhelmed or bored from the challenge. The challenge should not be not too hard, not too easy but just right. Another problem you could face is when your motivation fades. A solution to this is knowing you will not regret your hard work once you're done. One of the worse feelings possible is knowing you failed your goal because you didn't work hard enough and you could've achieved your goal if you put in one hundred percent.

Continuous improvement means to get better at something every day until your objective has been met. For instance, if you lose one pound every week it's nothing. If you keep on losing one pound a week and keep this up for a year, the total amount of weight you lose is 54 pounds.
Two habits that can help you continuously improve is sticking with what's working and avoiding bad habits. Often people get bored at the same old habits and fall into the trap of changing what's already working. The key is not to change your old habits because your bored, you need to do more of what already works. To add on, avoiding bad habits is key to continuously improve. Improvement does need to be about getting more good habits, it can be getting rid of old habits. In reality, to improve at something like your weight, trying to add a good habit like exercise to lose weight won't work with a bad diet. In fact, the most likely outcome is for you to gain weight. However, if you don't improve your exercise but get rid of a bad habit (your diet) you lose weight by not adding more weight into your body. I feel we should focus on habits rather than goals for the following: focusing on habits will produce better results, achieving a goal is a momentary change and goals prevent you from doing other things. To start off, Most soccer players become soccer players by working on their game to be a soccer player, not by thinking about their goals and dreams. To add on, achieving a goal is a momentary change. Also, if you wanted to lose weight and you changed your diet you will get to your weight goal but you will not maintain that weight if you repeat your old habits. Finally, goals prevent you from doing other things because many people have the idea of completing your goal will benefit you and improve your life. In reality, your goal will prevent you to do other things you like and will make you lose yourself and who you are.
Digital Citizenship helps teens and young adults understand social media and what not to put on the internet. Digital Citizenship prevents young adults and teens doing something they would regret online. For instance, if your rude to somebody on social media and comment inappropriate things, somebody can find out like your boss. Then, you have no job, no money just like that. Also, you can break the law and get arrested from watching an online stream of a sports game if caught. To conclude, Digital Citizenship is important because there many more ways that you might not know about that can ruin your future and reputation online. Due to this, I feel teens and young adults need to become more aware of this topic for their own benefits. |
